Our Joy:

Live a Life of Generosity

At our church, we believe life is a long-term mission trip, and every day is a short-term mission opportunity. God's word makes it clear that it's our job to share the love of Christ with people we see every day, whether we're in our local community, or halfway across the world. And this mission not only impacts those we serve, but it is a pathway to spiritual transformation in our own lives.

There are so many ways to serve locally through Jtown, as well as getting involved in global efforts to spread the Gospel of Christ. Whether you feel called to Jeffersontown or another continent, we want to equip and empower you to do the work God has called you to.  Get involved today by emailing the church office.

BIble Study

Every Sunday morning, we gather to study the Word of God. We believe that a healthy spiritual community should cultivate intergenerational relationships. To that end, we meet in study groups with members ranging from college students to senior adults. Our Sunday Morning Bible Study begins at 9:30AM just after our weekly fellowship breakfast at 9:00AM.

We strive to have a gospel-centered, biblically-balanced worship service on a weekly basis so that the church may honor and encounter God in spirit and truth, in every service. Since the gospel is our foundation for genuine worship, we keep the main themes of the gospel in every service.

       These themes are,

Adoration: Lifting high the characteristics and qualities of the holy God.

Confession: Understanding clearly our own brokenness, separation and humble state before our eternal Creator.

Reconciliation: How the life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of our King Jesus makes it possible for us to know God personally.

Response: Joyful obedience resulting in changed lives, and intentional relationships with those who do not yet see the goodness of Christ.

Come join us on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening as we honor our great God together.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."  Col. 3:16 (ESV)

Life Groups

Life Groups are small groups that meet on Sunday Evenings to discuss living life in light of biblical truth. We typically have 3-4 studies throughout the year, with short breaks in between, and study a specific topic or book,

giving time for discussion, application, and fellowship. Contact Pastor Grant for more information.

M. O. V. E.

M [missionally]   O [oriented]    V [vitally]     E [equipped]

M. O. V. E. is our strategy for reaching out with the Good News of Christ. Our hope is that we will be able to reach those

near and far with the saving news of Jesus Christ. And so we focus on 4 different geographic areas.

Area 1 (Jerusalem): Jeffersontown.

This group does servant evangelism projects.

Area 2 (Judea): Intercultural Louisville.

This includes our brothers and sisters of Iglesia Bautista. We are also working on starting an ESL program.

 Area 3 (Samaria): North America.

The most active part of this ministry is serving through KBC Disaster Relief Program, headed up by Tom Garrity.

Area 4 (Ends of the Earth): International.

Though there have been many trips taken all around the world through Jtown, and we support many missionaries

on the field currently, the largest regular mission work we do is in Western Kenya, through the work of Ken Hein.

If you are interested in serving in one of these areas, please contact Pastor Luke or Pastor Grant for more information.

One of the ways we focus on Discipleship is by encouraging members to be in a Discipleship Mentoring relationship.

Discipleship Mentoring occurs in one on one relationships with a Discipleship Mentor, or in small groups of 3-5 people with a Group Leader, and gather weekly to dive into deeper issues of faith and life in Christ.

These groups study the "Discipleship Essentials" guide written by Greg Ogden.

In this guide you:  Memorize key scriptures together,

Study Scriptures and answer thought provoking questions,

Regularly Pray for and encourage one another,

And grow in honesty, accountability, knowledge, love, and Christ.

If you would like to get involved in Discipleship, contact Pastor Grant

You will be amazed at the spiritual growth that happens when you are intentionally involved in discipleship.

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Jesus (Matthew 28:18b-20)

Our desire is that every man in our church would passionately take up the roles that God has given him, and fulfill them with excellence.  Whether it be friend, student, mentor, employee, employer, husband or father.

"For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:5-8)

Bible and Biscuits is our regular means of connecting with and encouraging the men of the church.  It happens the first Tuesday of every month, 6:00AM at Cracker Barrel just off Blankenbaker Road.

For more information, contact Pastor Luke or Pastor Grant.

Our desire is that every woman in our church would passionately take up the roles that God has given her, and fulfill them with excellence. Whether it be friend, student, mentor, employee, employer, wife, or mother.

Women's Night Out is the regular way that we as a church set aside time for our Women to connect and encourage one another.  They meet on the fourth Tuesday of the Month in the evening, usually in a different home.

For more information, contact Kim Bray.

We strive to give students a solid worldview foundation as they begin to question what they believe and why.

Students meet regularly on Sunday morning at 9:30 during Bible Study & Wednesday evening at 6:45.

We are currently Studying the Gospel Project for Students on Sunday morning,

and exploring what the Gospel is and it's implications for our lives.

All Middle and High school age students are welcome.

Our goal with the Children's Ministry is to tell them the stories of the Bible in an interactive way, so that they can grow

on a solid foundation for understanding the Gospel. Children meet on Sunday morning during Sunday School,

and on Wednesday evening during the school year.

We have also been teaching the children to memorize and think about the Bible through music.
